Premiere Pro 2018 is so glitchy . The most bug filled release ever. It is really sad when it does not work on up to date computers.

As to your trick yes it works sometimes. If a project does not work open one that does and then open the one did not work and bingo.

I thought that worked for me last night. I opened a project and one clip was replaced by a random clip. I opened a previous version and then closed it. The clip magically changed back to the correct clip. Fail!!! When I  encoded the project for delivery it  reverted back to the wrong clip. I am going to have to go over everything I sent recently to the networks looking for Adobe Media Encoder errors. It also had a random cut (glitch) where there was no cut on the timeline. I am very disappointed in Adobe.
